The FAVI (Festival des Arts Visuel Independent) is commited to promoting artists in all the fields of the business. Every four months a collaboration of artists re-unit their talents in order to amaze the general public, or (the mob). The FAVI and it's organizers have realized that there are too many gifted artists that go undiscovered. We believe that artists provide societies most fundemaental pleasures, and they should be awarded for their services towards society.<br /><br />During one day FAVI brings together jugglers, actors, short movies, painters, photographers, musicians, sculputers, comedians, documentaries, etc... There is art to please any art enthusiast, or any curious passerby. FAVI is split in three sections during an entire day. We begin around 13:00 with an exhibition of paintings, photos, and sculptures. Then around 16:00 to 18:30 we see short movies and documentaries with an intermission in the middle. At the end we invite a battle of the bands, competing with theatrical acts, and stand up comedians.<br /><br />We promote artists by directly involving the public to interact with the artists. The second aspect of promotion occurs in the form of prizes. Prizes basically give the artist more resources to work with. Prizes might involve grants, burseries and scholorships, or access to production studios, and galleries. Thus allowing talented artists to strive in the business of arts. Ce festival est organisé par de jeunes artisans pour des jeunes artistes peu connus du publique mais dont le talent et le génie créatif ne demandent qu'à éclore.<br />Venez admirer les oeuvres présentées par ces créateurs de la relève mais, surtout, venez à la rencontre de ces esthètes émergents que se fraient un chemin dans le milieu artistique d'aujourd'hui.<br />Présentez-vous le samedi 14 Octobre 2006 à partir de 19:30.
